Lorsbacher Thal is an Apfelwein tavern in Alt-Sachsenhausen with more than 200 years of history and its own apple wine cellar under the dining room. It serves traditional Hessian cooking alongside what may be the deepest apple wine list in Germany, nearly 250 selections.
This is the address for anyone who wants to understand Frankfurt's Stoffche, the local cider, rather than just drink a Schoppen and leave. It rewards the curious, since the house runs tastings through a cellar of around 30 wooden barrels. Skip it if you only want cocktails.
