Our Take on Bar
+ craft beer Bar Budda is the City Centre sports-and-craft-beer pub that, over the past three years, has done the most to argue that serious ale can live comfortably alongside serious sport in a Glasgow room. The screen setup is generous without being overwhelming, the audio mix tracks the SPL feed with a sensible backup for whichever rugby or Champions League match is on the secondary feed, and the keg line runs a properly rotated programme of Scottish craft — Drygate, Tempest, Pilot, Six Degrees North — alongside the obligatory Tennent's and Belhaven.
The food is genuine pub work, with the burger and the smoked-pork bun both doing more than they need to. The crowd is mixed Old Firm and neutral, with a strict house policy on colours during derby weekends. It ranks second because the integration of craft-beer ambition and serious match-watching is the most fully realised in the city centre.
