Highballs on Tap in the Design District
Bar Mate serves highballs and small plates behind an open glass front at Pieni Roobertinkatu 9, in the middle of Helsinki's Design District. Founder Mika Ammunét built the program around tall drinks on draft, so the service stays fast even when the loft style room fills on a Friday.
It suits after work tables, no and low drinkers taken seriously, and anyone who wants food that outperforms bar snacks. It will underwhelm the martini solemn; everything here is fizzy, fast, and fun by design.
