Our Take on Limewood
· Wine + dining Limewood sits inside the colonnaded 1920s arcade at Repulse Bay and has built one of the city's better wine-and-modern-Australian programmes since opening in 2014. The cellar is biased toward southern hemisphere producers — Yarra Valley pinot, Margaret River chardonnay, Hawke's Bay syrah — with a serious Pacific Northwest section that you genuinely cannot find elsewhere in Hong Kong.
The room is open-air-leaning, the view is the South China Sea, and the by-the-glass rotation is broader than the room's deceptively casual feel suggests. Ranks sixth because the format is restaurant-led and the journey south takes commitment, but for southern-hemisphere drinking it has no Hong Kong peer.
