Travel-Themed Cocktails in Smithfield

Oriole opened in 2017 as the sister bar to Nightjar, run by the same team. The basement room sits in Smithfield Market and the menu is divided into three travel sections: Old World (Europe), New World (Americas), and Orient (Asia). Each section is themed by region and the cocktails reference local ingredients and traditions.

The drinks are theatrical and precise, in the Nightjar style. The Tokyo Daiquiri is built with sake and yuzu. The Marrakech Old Fashioned uses argan-oil-washed bourbon. The presentations are part of the experience.

The crowd is mid-thirties professionals and special-occasion groups. Live music nightly from 21:00 — jazz weekdays, more eclectic on weekends. Pair with Nightjar for the complete sister-bar evening.
