If screen count decides a sports bar, S Bar wins Marrakech outright. The Gueliz lounge runs roughly thirteen of them, and the kitchen keeps pace from noon to 2am.
S Bar Sports Lounge sits on Rue Oum Errabia in Gueliz, directly opposite the fire station, a five-minute walk from the Avenue Mohammed V spine. The nightlife guide Nightjar counts around thirteen giant screens in the room, enough to carry two or three competitions simultaneously without anyone craning a neck. Staff will switch a screen to a specific fixture if you ask, a detail Tripadvisor reviewers mention repeatedly.
The room splits between an air-conditioned interior and a covered terrace, both wired with screens, so smokers do not miss a goal. The fit-out is modern lounge rather than pub, low banquettes, dark tables, a long bar. On selected nights a live band takes over between fixtures, which keeps the place alive even when the football calendar goes quiet.
What to order is a wider question than usual, because the menu published on Allmenus runs past standard match food. Burgers, sandwiches and pizzas cover the snacking side, and then the kitchen stretches to plates like ballotine fermière, paella royale and risotto, ambitious for a room with this many televisions. Drinks stay conventional: cold local and imported beer, spirits, and a serviceable wine list.
Who is it for? Groups, mostly. The table format, the food range and the screen surplus make it the easiest place in the city to bring six people with three different allegiances. It draws a mixed Moroccan and visitor crowd, younger than Café Atlas, more casual than the Fan Zone at Es Saadi, and it is the only one of the three that serves a proper lunch.
