Our Take on Path
+ wine Path is technically a restaurant, and the dining room is excellent, but the counter and the bar half of the room operate as one of the most serious natural-leaning wine bars in west Tokyo. The list is heavy on Loire, Beaujolais and Italy, with a small but unusually thoughtful German section, and the kitchen sends out small plates designed to pair with the wine being poured rather than the other way round.
The room runs from breakfast to late evening, and the late shift is when the wine programme is at its sharpest. It ranks seventh for hybrid format: nobody else in Tokyo bridges restaurant and wine bar this fluently.
