The Pitch

Our Take on Brewhall

Brewhall came back from its 2026 renovation calling itself a social hall instead of a beer hall, which is marketing for booths, leather barstools, and a food menu with ambition. The bones are unchanged: a big two level industrial room in Olympic Village with timber beams, local art, and more than 20 taps pouring house brews. Daily Hive covered the original opening as Vancouver's massive new beer hall, and massive still fits.

The happy hour is the best value in the neighborhood and it is not close. From 2pm to 5:30pm Tuesday through Sunday, a 16 ounce beer costs $5, house wine $5, cocktails $10.50, and the Throwback Burger $10. Where Long Table rewards a quiet tasting, Brewhall rewards showing up with seven friends.

The catch is the noise. This is a loud, communal, trivia and sports room, and the 2026 World Cup programming will keep it that way all summer. Tripadvisor's middling 3.6 mostly reads as people who wanted a restaurant.

The Drinks

The Menu, Edited

01
Neon Lights Hazy IPA
The house brewing program's calling card, one of 20 plus taps tracked on Untappd. Start here and work outward.
02
Mortadella and Stracciatella Toast
The clearest signal of the 2026 menu upgrade. Not traditional beer hall food, and better for it.
03
Throwback Burger, $10 at Happy Hour
The happy hour anchor between 2pm and 5:30pm. At this price it outperforms most of the neighborhood's $20 burgers.
04
Flat Iron Steak Frites
For the table holdout who claims beer halls cannot cook. The new kitchen says otherwise.
The Room, The Crowd

Reading the Room

Downstairs is the hall proper: long tables, the tap wall, and screens sized for a stadium suburb. The mezzanine handles groups that want to hear each other. The renovation added booth seating and group friendly layouts, a direct answer to the old complaint that the room was all bench and no comfort.

The crowd is post work Olympic Village on weekdays and full watch party on match days. Brewhall is positioning itself as a FIFA 2026 headquarters, with World Cup programming and special brunch dates running June 15 through July 7. Vancouver Is Awesome headlined the reopening as a Vancouver favourite getting a major upgrade.

Reviewers on Google praise the atmosphere and the in house beers, and warn that tables can be hard to get even with a booking. Arrive at 2pm, leave by 7pm, and you will have had the best of it.
