Get Directions Ask Our TeamOur Take on Key Party
Key Party sits behind a fake accounting office storefront on Main Street, and the joke only gets better inside. Where Prohibition plays the speakeasy genre straight, all leather and reverence, Key Party throws a 1970s house party and charges you admission. Shag carpet, velvet drapes, a hand painted mural behind the bar, about 40 seats.
The Narrow Group runs it, the same operators behind a string of Vancouver rooms, and the polish shows under the kitsch. Daily Hive called it an open secret, which is accurate. The room rewards people who want their cocktail bar to have a sense of humor, and punishes anyone who arrives with six friends at 9pm on a Saturday expecting a table.
Who should skip it: anyone allergic to whipped cream on a drink, and anyone who hates waiting. The room takes no reservations and weekend waits run close to an hour by some accounts.

Reading the Room
The space commits fully to the bit. Tufted upholstery, a large wooden bar against the mural, lighting set low enough that the shag carpet reads as texture rather than crime scene. It is one of the few theme rooms in the city where the drinks program outruns the theme.
The crowd is date night heavy, with a steady share of birthday groups and a reputation as a welcoming room for LGBTQ guests, a point reviewers raise consistently. Thursday through Saturday fills fast after 8pm. A February 2026 Google reviewer summed up the math: you are paying for the vibe, and the vibe is worth paying for.
Go on a Tuesday or Wednesday at opening if you want the bartenders talkative and a seat at the wood. Compare with The Diamond in Gastown if you prefer your craft cocktails without costume.
