Our Take on Meinklang
· Modern The Meinklang family — six generations of Burgenland biodynamic growers — opened their Wieden flagship in 2020 and quietly built the most coherent producer-direct bar in the city. The list is, by deliberate choice, almost entirely Meinklang and a handful of friend producers: Gut Oggau across the courtyard, Andi Tscheppe in Styria, Strohmeier's pet-nats.
By-the-glass rotates with the harvest, with the Konkret Grauburgunder and the Graupert Pinot Noir as fixtures. The kitchen runs a short, sourdough-led plate menu: blood sausage on toast, kohlrabi with Mohnöl, a single dessert.
The room is fifty seats with a long communal table and an open cellar wall. Third because no other room in Vienna defends a single biodynamic estate this completely without it feeling like a tasting room.
