Oliver Twist is the English-style beer pub near Mariatorget that beer geeks have leaned on for years. A dozen-plus rotating taps, a fridge of imports, sport on the screens, and a crowd that knows its breweries. Come for a cask ale and a burger on a quiet Tuesday. The back tables sit furthest from the taps, so claim a bar stool and watch the board turn over.
Linje Tio sits on Hornstull and runs a beer-and-cocktail program locals rate over the tourist spots. The tap list rotates Nordic and Belgian, the room is dim, and the bartenders actually talk hops. Go early in the week for a counter seat. Weekend nights it fills past the bar and the worst seat becomes the standing crowd by the door. Order whatever fresh saison is on.
Folii is a Sodermalm wine bar first, but the fridge holds a sharp small-producer beer list for anyone who came with a hophead. Katarina Olkafe on Katarina Bangata is the tiny Sodermalm beer cafe regulars guard. A short, smart tap list of local brews, simple bar food, and barely a dozen seats. This is a slow-pint, talk-to-your-neighbor room, not a big night. Go any weeknight; it fills fast on Fridays and the worst seat is the curb outside. Order a Swedish pale ale and a toastie.
The Bishops Arms is a British-pub chain, but the Stockholm branches keep a serious rotating tap list and a long whisky back bar. Reliable rather than cult, which is the point after work.
