Athens' Best Outdoor Drinking Compound

Six Dogs is unusual: a multi-room cocktail compound built around a courtyard garden, with an indoor cocktail bar in front and a music room upstairs. The garden in summer is one of the best urban drinking spaces in Europe, with established trees, low lighting, and outdoor seating for around 80.

The cocktails are well made if not as ambitious as Baba Au Rum or The Clumsies. The Negroni is reliable. The seasonal Spritz programme uses Greek aperitifs and seasonal fruit. The music room hosts DJ residencies most weekends.

The crowd is mixed Athens locals and travellers, mid-twenties to mid-thirties. Best for a long evening that combines an outdoor cocktail, dinner nearby, and a return for late drinks. Pair with the wider Athens cocktail scene across Psyrri.
