El Chiringuito is the late-night tropical disco room hidden down Soi 28 in Charoenkrung. The room is small, the music is loud, and the back wall holds 60-odd mezcals lined up like a museum case. It opened in 2018 and has stayed exactly the same size, exactly the same energy, ever since.
Bookings are taken direct through the bar or through Hungry Hub for parties of four or more.
The proposition is simple: agave spirits, natural wine by the glass, a short menu of bar-snack food that runs late, and a DJ from 10pm onward. The cocktail list is built almost entirely on mezcal, sotol, and raicilla. Drinks land around ฿320-420 and arrive fast. The room dances by 11pm and does not stop until close.
Charoenkrung is one of Bangkok's better cocktail neighbourhoods and El Chiringuito is the loud, fun stop on a crawl through it. Stand-up only most nights. Two bar staff working the small counter and one runner clearing glasses. You will not be sitting down. You will be having a very good time.
