Tropic City sits inside the slow renaissance happening on Charoenkrung Road - the once-overlooked riverside stretch that, over the last decade, has rebuilt itself into Bangkok's best small-creative-business district. The bar is a tropical-cocktail room with a Caribbean and Latin American back-catalogue, founded by two bartenders who wanted to make rum-and-tiki-style drinks the centre of a serious operation rather than a costume.
