Hong Kong's Punk Cocktail Bar
The Pontiac is a SoHo dive bar with a punk rock attitude — neon, sticker-covered walls, loud music — but the cocktail programme is surprisingly disciplined. The bar opened in 2015 and has built a steady following among Hong Kong cocktail industry people who want something other than the polished world-ranked bars.
The drinks are well made and unfussy. The Old Fashioned is benchmark. The seasonal menu rotates with thoughtful originals. The bar runs late — until 4am most nights — making it one of the better Hong Kong late-night options.
