Bar Aurora opened in Umeda in 2018 and has built a steady following. The room is small and modern, pale wood, soft lighting, around 25 seats, and the cocktail programme rotates seasonally with thoughtful original drinks alongside immaculate classics.
The drinks are precise. The seasonal menu uses Japanese ingredients heavily, yuzu, sansho, matcha, sake, alongside classical European spirits. The bartenders are formally trained and the build follows Japanese discipline.
