Bar Aurora opened in Umeda in 2018 and has built a steady following. The room is small and modern — pale wood, soft lighting, around 25 seats — and the cocktail programme rotates seasonally with thoughtful original drinks alongside immaculate classics.
The drinks are precise. The seasonal menu uses Japanese ingredients heavily — yuzu, sansho, matcha, sake — alongside classical European spirits. The bartenders are formally trained and the build follows Japanese discipline.
