Our Take
A Mid-Century Cocktail Bar in Kitashinchi
The Court occupies a Kitashinchi basement and the room is preserved mid-century Japanese — leather banquettes, brass fittings, vintage cocktail glassware. The bartenders work with hand-cut ice and the cocktail programme is classical and unfussy.
The drinks are immaculate. The whisky list is respectable, the Cognac selection deep, and the bartenders know each bottle's provenance. The room is hushed and conversational.
The crowd is older Osaka professionals and serious cocktail enthusiasts. Pair with Bar Augusta Tarlogie for a Kitashinchi cocktail-and-whisky evening.
