Art Deco Cocktail Discipline in the 16th
Cravan occupies a small art deco room in the 16th arrondissement. The interior is preserved 1930s — original mosaic floor, brass fittings, marble counter — and the cocktail programme matches the room: classical, disciplined, and unfussy.
The drinks are immaculate. The Cravan Old Fashioned uses Cognac instead of bourbon. The Vesper is benchmark. The bar is named for Arthur Cravan, the early 20th century French boxer-poet, and the room references his Paris.
The crowd is older Paris professionals and visiting cocktail enthusiasts. Pair with Hemingway Bar at the Ritz for a complete heritage Paris cocktail evening.
