Our Take on Prado
· Modern Prado is António Galapito's modern-Portuguese restaurant on Travessa das Pedras Negras, opened in 2017 and built around the most thoughtful natural-leaning Portuguese cellar in the city. Sommelier Catarina Carepa stocks Filipa Pato, Aphros, Quinta da Serradinha and Casal Figueira with a depth no other Lisbon room manages, and the by-the-glass programme runs weekly through fifteen references with a quiet bias toward Bairrada baga and Vinho Verde alvarinho.
The room's adjacent wine bar, Prado Mercearia, allows drinking without committing to a full meal. Ranks third because the natural-Portuguese buying perspective is the freshest in the city and the cellar is genuinely deep.
