Our Take

Natural Wine and Japanese Small Plates in Hommachi

Ki no Wa is a small Hommachi wine bar with a tight European natural wine list — usually 80 to 100 bottles — and a kitchen producing small Japanese plates that pair surprisingly well with the wines. The room is design-forward and intentionally lit.

The wine list rotates weekly with French and Italian naturals dominant. The kitchen runs a small menu of Japanese-French fusion plates — yakitori with Beaujolais, sashimi with Riesling. The bartenders are wine-led, the cooks are food-led.

The crowd is mid-thirties Osaka professionals who care about both wine and food. Pair with Bar Brillant in Kitashinchi for a complete Osaka wine evening.
