Osaka's Deepest French Wine List
Le Monde des Vins is a wine merchant with an attached bar in Kitashinchi. The shop and bar are run by a Japanese sommelier who imports directly from France. The list runs to around 800 French bottles including serious Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhône, and Loire selections.
The bar offers around 30 wines by the glass at any time, rotating weekly. The sommelier-bartender explains each pour and recommends pairings with the small French-Japanese food menu.
The crowd is older Osaka professionals and serious wine enthusiasts. Best for a single careful evening exploring French wine with serious guidance. Pair with Bar Brillant for a complete Kitashinchi wine evening.
