Our Take on St. Halvards Plass
· Wine list St. Halvards Plass is the modern Grünerløkka neighbourhood room that opened in 2020 and has built its reputation on a thoughtfully Northern-leaning programme — Mosel kabinett, Saale-Unstrut natural wines, a quiet but serious Slovenian section, and a small but committed Etna red bench.
The by-the-glass list runs twelve references with weekly turn, and the kitchen does Nordic small plates that serve the wine rather than competing with it. Owner Eva Lindgren came over from Statholdergaarden's wine team and runs the floor with the kind of low-key precision Oslo appreciates. Ranks third because the cellar is narrower than the top two but the buying perspective is distinctively Northern in a way other Oslo bars do not attempt.
