Our Take on Vinslottet Aker
· Plush The Aker Brygge sister of Vinslottet — same ownership, different theory of drinking. The harbour-side room is plush, low-lit, and runs a classical-leaning programme designed to differentiate from the Grünerløkka natural-wine identity.
Cellar director Anders Eriksen stocks Burgundy and Champagne with serious depth — verticals of Coche-Dury, allocations of Bruno Paillard and Selosse — at prices that the Norwegian tax regime makes brutal, but justified by access. The by-the-glass programme runs fifteen references via Coravin, which enables the older-vintage pours that the natural bars cannot offer. Ranks fourth because the room is more lounge than wine bar but the classical cellar is the most disciplined in Oslo.
